Family Law

Family law is one of the most complex areas of legal representation because of the emotional nature of the situations involved and the importance of the values that are often at issue. The cases we most frequently handle are:

Civil Law and Real Estate

Fees

The price is most often set as a time price for each hour started. Depending on the complexity of the case, the price ranges from 1.000,- CZK without VAT.

After a brief description of the case, the price of the legal service can be informed in advance by phone or e-mail.

You can call or write, the lawyer will spend 10 minutes with you free of charge, including an assessment of the case and a proposal for a solution. Depending on the nature of the matter, we will agree on a course of action.

The price can also be agreed as:

For handling a matter - An agreement between the attorney and the client sets the price for handling a matter. For example, advice and processing of a contract for the transfer of real estate, including a proposal for entry into the Land Registry and verification of signatures, costs from CZK 4,500 excluding VAT.

Flat rate for representation of a party or for advice over an agreed period of time - a flat rate is agreed for representation of a client on a specific matter or for advice over a specific period of time (monthly flat rate).

Contractual - A contractual or non-contractual rate is set for one act of legal service. Individual acts and rates are set by the Lawyer's Tariff of Decree No. 177/1996 Coll. of the Ministry of Justice, as amended.

Fractional - The fractional rate is set by agreement of the parties as a share of the outcome of the case (i.e. a percentage of the claim awarded in the case). In this case, the client is assured that he will not pay more than he anticipated as a result of unexpected complications.

JUDr. Petr Prchal, Ph.D., advocate

Between 2006 and 2011 I graduated from the Faculty of Law of Palacký University in Olomouc, where I subsequently obtained a JUDr. degree and completed a Ph.D. programme in civil law. The achieved knowledge guarantees our clients quick solutions and saves their finances as a result of saving time. I have been practicing law for over ten years and my primary goal remains the success and satisfaction of our clients. I base my services on a personal approach and maximum enforcement of my clients' rights. In addition to my advocacy work, I am an assistant professor at the Department of Private Law and Civil Procedure at the Faculty of Law in Olomouc and a lecturer at the Judicial Academy. I am the author and co-author of a number of professional books and articles. Since 2024 I am a member of the Board of Directors of the Czech branch of the international learned society for copyright ALAI. I provide legal services to clients in English and German.
